Eines der neuen Gebäude ist der Flughafen.

An sich ist das jetzt nichts besonderes; es ist eines von vielen neuen Gebäuden für den Manager, der schon alles andere hat Ein paar andere Gebäude seht ihr abgedunkelt im Hintergrund.
Schaut bei der Beschreibung aber zweimal hin:

Erstens – der Scout fährt künftig nicht mehr kostenlos durch die Gegend. Immer, wenn ihr ihn auf die Suche schickt, müsst ihr Spesen bezahlen. Das ist nicht besonders teuer, es sei denn, er nimmt das Flugzeug. Flugbenzin ist nämlich nicht gratis zu haben, und der Stellplatz für den Jet kostet auch etwas Geld. Wer jedoch einen eigenen Flughafen hat, spart einen Teil der Scout-Flugkosten. Ihr könnt euch dann selbst ausrechnen, ob sich das lohnt, abhängig davon, wie oft ihr den Scout benutzt.
Zweitens – der Flughafen kostet Unterhaltskosten. Es wurde mal Zeit, dass wir sowas einführen, denn es ist realistisch und sinnvoll für das Wirtschaftsmodell. Natürlich kostet nicht nur der Flughafen Unterhalt, sondern viele Gebäude, je nach Größe. Die Unterhaltskosten werden jeden Samstag einmal abgezogen, wenn auch die Spieler altern.

Natürlich hat das ein paar weitere Regeln zur Folge:
a) Wenn ihr nicht das Geld habt, um den Unterhalt zu bezahlen, verfällt das betreffende Gebäude und verwandelt sich in eine nutzlose Baustelle. Ihr müsst einen Bautrupp verwenden, um das Gebäude zu reparieren.
b) Auch größere Stadien kosten künftig Unterhalt. Dafür entfällt der nervige Verfall, ihr müsst also nicht mehr extra Renovierungen kaufen und verwendne. Renovierungs-Items werden komplett aus dem Spiel verschwinden.

Wie ihr am unteren Rand des Screenshots seht, zeigt euch das Inventar die wöchentliche Gesamtsumme an Unterhalt an, damit ihr nicht kopfrechnen müsst.

The interesting part of this is the description. Let it translate it for you, it reads: “Reduces cost of scout when travelling by plane. Upkeep: 200.000”
Now what does that mean?

1. Sending the scout to search for players will cost money. This is of course realistic, and don’t worry, it won’t be that much.
2. If the scout uses your jet, the travel cost will be higher, because travelling by plane is much more expensive than by car or train.
3. If you have the airport, jet travel cost is reduced.
4. The airport has an upkeep cost. You have to pay this amount each season, which means: each saturday night. Many new buildings (and stadiums) will have upkeep cost.
5. If you cannot pay the upkeep, the building is transformed into a useless building site. You can use a worker to make the building site vanish and repair your building.
6. As also some stadiums will have upkeep cost, the stadium decay and the stadium refurbishment items will be removed.
7. The inventory screen shows your total upkeep cost at its bottom.
