KiO Week Season 404
Here’s another issue of Summer vacation KiO Week!
First thing to mention is that we have another pack special this weekend. So you’ll get 3 bonux ruby for each pack purchase until monday, midnight CEST.
Furthermore we’d like to inform you that the next notable KiO update for Android is now scheduled for september 22. There will propably be an update to the Windows version before, and we also work on a stability update on the Android version, but without new features, but both have no release date, so they’ll come once ready.
So let’s lean back and watch the exciting clan championship this ween, where currently the top 3, JVP, -GVV- and TRM, are only 30 points apart. Surely the championships today will change that situation, but how? We don’t know and we are very curious which clan will win this season’s championship!

Welcome to a brief summer issue of KiO Week. We just added the ruby pack awards to the top 10 of the worldcup Kicktipp round. The KiO World Cup Final tournament will start next saturday around 15:30 CEST, the tournament will be visible in the tournament list much earlier. The final tournament will be played with rematches!
We apologize for the timing problems of the group phase tournaments which made it neccessary to play most of the tournaments on sunday instead of saturday.
KiO Week: Season 401
Welcome to the end of the season 401! It’s KiO World Cup time, and this means: If you managed to qualify for the group phase, get ready and open the tournaments screen on saturday 15 CEST!
The server will start generating the group phase tournaments shortly after 15 CEST, one after another, so not all groups will take place at the same time. Everybody will be able to watch the groups by pressing the eye button!
The group phase tournaments will be played in league mode, so each team has three matches. Winner and runner-up will get the access pass for the final tournament which takes place next saturday.
Some important things to know: If a team should fail to join your group of four, it will be replaced by a bot. Good for you. But if TWO or more teams fail to show up, the tournament might be cancelled. The one or two teams who joined the tournament will receive tournament passes for the final tournament without having to play. This will be done MANUALLY, but only on monday, because we are not in the office this weekend. Don’t be afraid, you won’t be forgotten and you will get your pass sooner or later!
And one last thing: If place 2 and 3 have exactly the same points, goal difference and scored goals, the random generator will decide who advances to the final tournament. So this does not depend on how the duel between those two teams in question ended, and also our server has no fair play scoring like FIFA has.

What a week! The KiO World Cup qualifiers are now finished. 128 teams managed to reach the group phase, which will be played as normal tournaments on saturday, July 7th, starting shortly after 15 CEST. Note that the tournaments will be started in 5 minute intervals. Make sure you’re there, because you need to join your group manually. If you fail to show up, a bot team will take your place. Yes, it’s the 400th season of KiO Leagues! This means 8 years, as each season takes one week.
Now, here’s what’s important for this week.
Three days left and 25 vacancies in the KiO World Cup groups! Today we’ll have roughly 10 more qualifiers, also on saturday, and the remaining few will be held on sunday. Make sure you try to get your ticket to the group phase, which will take place next week saturday.
Player Pack Relaunch
Yes, we are tweaking the well-known Player Pack. To be honest, all the world already has 1000 rookie contracts in their inventories, and they are available in the shop and for collectible cards. So we are going to remove them from the player pack, alongside with the crystal balls, for which the same applies (but they are to be more rare of course). The new content of the Player Pack can easily be described as follows: You get three specialists! Two of those will have maximum strength between 61 and 99. The third, and that’s a big deal, is a guaranteed top platinum player, with maximum strength between 97 and 99. Really strong players for your A or B team! We believe that’s what you expect from something names „player pack“, and that’s what you’re gonna get, starting 0:00 CEST, July 1st. Make sure you read the pack content description displayed in the app, as this is exactly what you will get. There will also be a small App update exchanging the pack picture, but what really counts is the content description.
Now, as my last point here, let me give you the latest figures: We told you that with the KiO 9 update, we would reduce the surprises in matches, and now our measurements show the real result: Surprise ratio dropped from 8-9% to 4-5%. I am confident that you can all feel that our game is now even more tactical, and that’s the way we will continue to go in the future. More on this later this summer!

Qualifiers will be held from June, 24th to July 1st between 14h and 23h CEST rougly twice each hour. You can join qualifiers as you want, until you win one! Of course each team may join, regardless how long you are playing our game!
The 128 lucky teams who won a qualifier tournament will be sorted into one of 32 groups of 4 teams each which play the main round on July 7th (15-17h CEST). Winners and runners-up then are allowed to join the great final tournament on July 14th (15h CEST).
