No, it’s not an April Fool’s joke: from 1 April, the Season Pack will give you a Specialist Training item which can turn a „Normalo“ player into the new limited Universal Hammer specialist (shortcut: UH).

This specialist actually has two specialisations: firstly, he is a hammer, so he can take long shots in defensive tactics (4231/541/352/343). Secondly, he is a universalist, which means that he can be used without any deductions on any field position (except goalkeeper).

Universal Hammers, like the other Hammer specialists, are only available as a CB and DM. This means that you can only turn normal players with these two positions into universal hammers. But you can then setup these players as wing backs, offensive midfielders or attackers without strength penalty. And they can take long shots from anywhere on the pitch. However, they are slightly less likely to do that than ‘normal’ hammers, otherwise they would be far too strong.

We will, of course, keep an eye on the new universal hammers and look forward to hearing your opinion. If the UH proves a success, we will bring out other universal specialists in the future. Try out the new players – in different positions, in different tactics! Please note that limited specialists are only available through the corresponding limited Specialist Training in the season pack and through scout discoveries! It is our intention that these players are rare!
