Some of you were very smart and found a 4-4-2 variant which regularly has better stats against 5-4-1 than desired.
We must change this to secure the rock-paper-scissors system which is in place since the february update and works pretty well.
We will improve 5-4-1 in the way that you can use of man-to-man-marker specialists. As there are no „gaps“ to fill in 5-4-1, they will act as improved defenders against the opponent’s attacks. This means that 5-4-1 gets less goals when you use man-to-man-markers.

The new rock-paper-scissors stats are as follows (as always not taking ties into account):

442-541 40:60
541-343 30:70
343-442 35:65

Those values can vary by roughly 5 percent if you or your opponent play different variants.

The additional tactics end up as follows:

433-541 20:80
4231-343 30:70
424-541 10:90

You see that each formation has at least one counter formation. So don’t forget to check your next opponent’s preferred formation and change. This can really make a difference!

Yesterday, we sent a major update to Microsoft which will be certified and released within the next days. The contents of
this update are as follows:

–          All Kio 4 buildings can now be build, including the academy.

–          Coach actions implemented

–          Achievements implemented

–          Championship stars on emblems implemented

–          Top list „cash“ replaced by „platin achievements“

–          A lot of bug fixes

All existing top rookie contracts will be transformed into platinum specialist rookie contracts, so that they will be upgradeable.
Old platinum rookie contracts will be transformed into platinum rookie contracts of the new style.
Important to mention is that all buyable packs will be switched with this update. From the update on, the Android packs will
be buyable via WP.
There will be no flags in the new packs anymore. And flags are going to be supported by us only a limited time
after the update. Then they will be deactivated and the only way to get lost of them is to recycle them.

Next Sunday, the February update appears to Kick it out! for Android, iOS, Win8. There will be adjustments to the simulation and the introduction of its own Kick it Out! Wiki(at the moment only in german), as well as a number of improvements in stability and usability. But see for yourself:

• Three man defense with no man to man defender will be weakened, because there are not enough defenders. So 424 is playable too. This will boost the scissors paper stone effect.
• Release of Official Wiki (at the moment just in german)
• Capital list is replaced by the list of most platinum Achievement medals.
• Some Changes in the challenges
• Adjustment / addition to the existing tutorials by a thick, flashing arrow that shows where to click. The secretary and her text are displayed as an overlay.
• Android: visual revision of some dialogs, eg „Challenge managed“ with „fireworks“ effect and Sounds. Note: New messages appear at the bottom of the screen and in the Team Information Department on the Main Screen.
• Android: beginners will start again with the 3D screen. The simplified screen with the buttons is maintained.
• Android: click on the news ticker leads to the Kio magazine.
• Android: 2 more icons on bigger devices on the Main Screen
• Upgrade to top-platinum contracts in Academy only with> = 2000 prestige possible
• Possible failure of activation, if there are more than 5 motivators in the team. The more motivators you have, the more failures. This rule has been introduced to prevent teams from having 10-15 motivators who never actually play, which is obviously not what they are ment to.
• Rock concert: Prestige is increased by a factor of 2.5
• new playable Country: Azerbaijan (East Europe League)
• Limiting the number of usable construction crews out
• iOS: Features the January update and some bug fixes

In January 2014 we released Kick it out! for Windows 8.1. Get it in the Windows Store.

There are two changes to morale rules:

1. The critical defeat morale event does not occur anymore when you lose against clearly stronger teams. This protects beginners from frustrating morale loss. This rule is applied tonight.

2. Beginning with the february update, activating a motivator may fail if you have more than 5. We are undisclosing this early so you can decide if you want to keep or sell extra motivators.

Join the Winter Cup! It starts roughly once an hour with 32 participants and random maximum strength. The lucky winner gets a treasure with a rare item!
Note that each team can win no more than 10 treasures this way.
This special will last until the end of January.

As already announced in the game Kick it Out 5.1 is published this weekend.

The list of changes is as follows :

1. To prevent accidental or deliberate bad lineup in league matches there will be the so-called Coaches Line-up:

If before a league game the team is more than 10 % worse than the best tactic for the setup, the trainer will change the lineup for this game to improve the team and sends a notification message to the manager.

2. Challenge at morale<0: Win 5 games, get +1 morale

3. Readjustment morality Mascot effect: probability for the appearance of the mascot is with player strength divided by best strength scaled, ie 49er AB effect in a 99er team is only about half as strong, 99er full of course.

4. Help pop-up when you tap on the morale on the mainscreen.

6. Displays the registration date on team screen.

7. Again additional memory slots for the Cotrainer ( then a total of 5 slots) .

The most important new feature in Kick it out! 5.0 will be team morale.

Team morale is a value from -10 to +10 and describes the morale, motivation, harmony in your whole team.

Morale is not a strength boost. If your team has strength 99, it will still have strength 99 even if it has morale +10. But in the matches, your strikers will shoot more often, your goalie will have better saves and so on.

Of course morale changes due to certain events:

• morale is increased slowly over time as long as it is below zero, and it falls slowly over time as long as it is over zero. This way, no team can retain a morale of say +10 for a whole season too easy.
• -2 when you loose with 4 or more goals difference, -4 for 8 or more goals difference, this is halved in friendly matches since dec, 21st
• +1 if you win a league match against a team which is better than yours in the table
• -1 if you win a league match against a team which is worse than yours in the table
• +1 if you win any tournament
• +10 for winning a championship or qualifying for a higher league
• -10 for being relegated
• whenever a player plays in a lower class tournament (i.e. a platinum player in a Amateur Cup), a -1 morale can happen. The more you do this, and the more players do, the more it will happen.
• If you have mascots and superstitious players, after a won match sometimes a dialog pops up which gives you 10 seconds to tap a certain button. If you do, you get +1 morale. The more superstitious players played, the more likely this is.
• The new Motivator specialist has a button which gives +1 morale once a day if you press it.
• -5 if a motivator leaves the team (transfer, kicked, resigning).

You see that team morale adds a whole new game dimension to Kick it out. Because it was inspired by the community, and it just rewards activity and skillful play, it’s a very fair feature. You cannot buy +10 morale as an item for real money. In a league season, 16 teams might all have strength 99 and specialist rating 4 or 5, and play the same formation – but the will never all have +10 morale. So morale reduces the influence of the random generator and it really makes a difference if you only join a league on sunday and then on friday just check how you played, or if you improve your morale just before the six league matches start or even in between.
