On 21 May, our game will be 15 years old (release date of version 1.0)! Of course we’re celebrating with a great update and specials. And – don’t worry – you don’t have to give us anything, YOU get the presents!

The celebrations will start on Monday the 19th with the BIRTHDAY CUP, which will be held every half hour during the day. You will receive a gift for taking part and, as the winner and runner-up, two and one gift respectively!

On the birthday itself, you can search your club grounds for gift transporters and collect their loads (max. 11).

And just in time for the birthday, there will also be an update with no fewer than five new medals. We’re not revealing all of them yet, but it’s all about heads, hammers and goals …! We’re also already promising even more new medals in the big autumn update, as we know that many players love to hunt for medals.
In this context, however, we have identified several medals that provide false (unrealistic or even potentially unfair) incentives. We will therefore deactivate these. Mind you, this does NOT mean that these medals will be taken away from you – they will of course remain in your inventory! It’s just that they can no longer be earned again and, to be fair, will no longer count towards the platinum medals toplist. We’re sure that the majority of players will welcome the fact that they no longer have to do nonsense things like voluntarily relegate(!) in order to collect a medal, but can instead do what’s fun: play and win!
We can also announce that we will be changing the rules of the Clan Championship on 1 June in line with your responses to our ongoing survey: There will be a size limit for clans as well as a grand final tournament, so that the clan championship will be more exciting and interesting again. The details are still being worked out. The other exciting suggestions, which you have voted for quite positively in the survey so far, will be included in the autumn update. As you can see, even after 15 years, the KiO story is far from over!
Thank you for playing – and here’s to the next 15 years!
