Changed yellow card ruling

Some time ago, we jointly concluded that the existing rules for yellow cards are unfavorable or even confusing, mainly because you are still considered to be on probation even after a card has been removed. This is not transparent and, if it applies for years, it is also unfair—minor offenses should be allowed to lapse, as we all grow older and wiser and should not be punished more severely for sins committed long ago. On the other hand, we often hear that yellow cards are “irrelevant,” i.e., apparently not effective enough. Therefore, after extensive discussion, we have come up with the following new rules:

  1. Yellow cards are now valid for 90 days.
  2. After the warning period has expired, the card and the penalty disappear completely.
  3. If you receive another warning during the 90 days, the team will be suspended for 3 months with a yellow-red card. After this period has expired, these cards and the penalty disappear completely.
  4. If another rule violation is committed during the yellow-red warning period, the team will be suspended immediately. As before, it will be possible to start again with another team after 6 months. Similarly, second teams will be suspended immediately in the event of multiple violations (as before).

Regardless of this, a lifetime ban may still be imposed on a user for particularly serious violations of rules, customs, or terms and conditions.

In order to implement the new card rules properly, we have today carried out a yellow card amnesty, i.e. as of today, all yellow cards have been deleted and expired, so all teams (except those banned with a red card, of course) are now back to square one. We are confident that these measures will contribute to improving fair play. We would like to thank all our fair players!
